Hollyhocks offers accommodation for a couple who are looking for a quiet retreat in all seasons with its warming open fire to curl up to in the winter and lovely rear garden for enjoying the summer sunshine and glorious views. Bawdsey lies on the estuary of the River Deben, where walkers, cyclists and weekend sailors make leisurely use of the pubs, pine forests and heathland of the Bawdsey Peninsula, while taking in the magnificence of the big skies. Nearby, Bawdsey Manor was where radar was developed and there are lots of historical sites to visit around the area, including Sutton Hoo. Bawdsey Quay is only two miles away, from where you can take the foot ferry to Felixstowe Ferry and walk or cycle to Felixstowe town.
