This romantic retreat enjoys a peaceful location, surrounded by immaculate shared gardens and open countryside, in the quaint village of Parham. You’ll be welcomed to the property with a selection of delicious produce from the gardens, depending on the season, and will also have access to the shared tennis courts during your stay. The bustling market town of Framlingham is 3 miles away, and you’ll also be just 12 miles from the coast.

The first-floor apartment is reached via an external, spiral staircase. The accommodation is set within the elegant Parham Hall and has been beautifully decorated and furnished to complement the period of the property. The main living space is open plan and feels bright and spacious, thanks to high ceilings and large, traditional windows. Spend time stretched out on the sofas watching the TV/DVD or share romantic dinners for two at the dining table. The galley kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering holiday and looks out over the garden, providing delightful views whilst you cook. When it’s time for bed, retire to the grand king-size bedroom for a good night’s rest. A stylish bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, you’ll have your own private garden with furniture, as well as access to the extensive shared grounds and tennis court.

From the property, it’s easy to visit Snape Maltings (7.5 miles). Here, you can potter amongst the high-end boutiques and galleries, and maybe even enjoy a concert or boat ride along the river. It’s also a great starting point for picturesque countryside. The ancient market town of Framlingham is well worth a visit, with many independent restaurants and pubs, cute shops, and a 12th-century castle to explore. Heading to the coast, the popular seaside resorts of Southwold (20.5 miles) and Aldeburgh (11 miles) make lovely days out.

What a wonderful place to stay for a complete rest! The comfort, care and thoughtfulness provided in Garden View by the owners for guests is outstanding. The property is very airy, light and well equipped. We really appreciated the welcome tray with homemade preserves and fresh eggs, tea and coffee. How wonderful also, to be allowed to walk aroundRead more the extensive gardens of their home, which we loved as gardeners. Parham is a quiet hamlet, but ideally placed to use as a base. We enjoyed the local walks Sue mentioned and our visit to the local garden centre for a lovely coffee and scones, not to mention the well stocked nursery. We loved the property. it was warm and very comfortable. There were some lovely little touches too: the vase of flowers to welcome us (daffodils and winter jasmine), Fairtrade tea and coffee (a first for us, anywhere), homemade marmalade (which was delicious), 6 eggs (though we didn't eat them) and a very good selection of local guide books. A peaceful and attractive location with access to beautiful gardens. High standard apartment with a well equipped kitchen. Fresh eggs and home made marmalade left for our use. Would like to come again.

Value for money but Garden View is misleading as although the gardens are lovely you cannot see the gardens from the property unless you stand up which was very disappointing

Booked this property for a second time the comfort of the property and the grounds is fantiastic if you like nature gardening and wildlife. The property owner was concerned that the TV was not working due to a signal problem and this was complicated by Wasps ,maybe caused? We booked to experience it in Summer and found some local attractions weRead more had overlooked on the first visit.. The flat is well equipped, clean, light, pleasantly furnished, comfortable, king size bed, and in a quiet rural location that is a short drive to the Suffolk coast and countryside. A great base to explore, with lovely walks within a short drive. No smart TV so download your TV of choice before you arrive, we then streamed from the laptop to TV.
