With a nautical theme throughout, the appropriately named Harbour View is light and modern: the whitewashed walls mean that all focus is on the water beyond; simply watch the boats bobbing up and down and breathe in that refreshing seaside air... The eagle-eyed may even spot seals basking on the shingle; be sure to bring your binoculars! Harbour View really is conveniently placed for holidays, being within walking distance of The Ferryboat Inn pub, two cafes and the Felixstowe Foot Ferry; running in the summer months and providing a connection to nearby Bawdsey Quay.
The front door opens onto the small utility area with washing machine and boot storage. An open staircase then leads up to the first floor landing with dining area, continuing up to the second floor. The bedroom, complete with double bed, has superb views over the water and out towards Bawdsey Quay - you can wake up to this stunning view yourself; why not book today? Pub: 100 yards. Felixstowe Ferry is a small hamlet on the outskirts of the seaside resort of Felixstowe. Untouched for many years, Felixstowe Ferry still retains much of its' coastal charm complete with connecting foot ferry to Bawdsey Quay running in the summer months. A 20 minute walk along the coastline brings you to the main town of Felixstowe. This busy town standing at the mouth of the rivers Deben and Orwell, benefits from a four mile stretch of a sand and shingle beach a two mile paved promenade dotted with colourful beach huts and beautifully kept seafront gardens. Other than enjoying the sea views from any well placed seats along the prom, visitors can enjoy activities such as coastal walks, sailing, fishing, golf or bird watching to name but a few. There are Martello Towers along this stretch of coastline, built to resist a potential invasion by Napoleon. The main town of Felixstowe offers the visitor a good selection of shops, restaurants, seafront bars, seaside attractions, cinema, leisure centre with swimming pool, Tourist Information, Spa Theatre and a viewing point where many of the world's largest container ships arrive at the busy Port of Felixstowe.
