This charming cottage has recently been transformed into a chic, boutique style holiday cottage by the owner who has a wealth of experience as a former stylist for interiors and magazines, so come and share the comfort and luxury.

Situated in the rural village of Wrentham, the cottage is five minutes drive from one of the iconic beaches on the Suffolk Heritage Coast at Cove Hithe and 10 minutes drive from the renowned Edwardian seaside town of Southwold - 'the Jewel of the Suffolk Coast'. The cottage is ideally placed to explore the coast and countryside throughout the year or enjoy a traditional seaside family holiday discovering the delights of the historic town of Southwold: the iconic pier and lighthouse, famous Adnams Brewery and pubs, the Boating Lake, Mini Golf, skate park, tennis courts and golf course and the miles of cycling and walking paths up and down the coast.

Lime Tree Cottage is set back from the High Street and has many of the facilities required for a special holiday, off street parking, a garden to enjoy, storage for bikes and superb facilities inside. The windows in the cottage overlooking the High Street are double glazed.

Entrance: through the garden to the back door of the cottage and into the kitchen and dining area. The ground floor is generally open plan having been formed by knocking the original two cottages into one spacious and bright living area and decorated in relaxing blues and greys with pretty vintage furniture mixed with modern comforts and equipment. Table and chairs for 6, range cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, good storage cupboards and slate floor throughout the ground floor.

Utility room: cloakroom with WC and hand basin, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Garden Room: designed for relaxation, this light and airy room overlooks the garden with desk and chair and armchair.

Sitting Room: sofa and armchairs, TV with Freeview, coffee table, rugs, feature wood burning stove shared with next door library. Window overlooking the garden.

The Library: designed for relaxing and reading with well stocked book shelves and armchairs, feature wood burning stove shared with sitting room. The original two sets of stairs from each of the original cottages have been retained in both the sitting room and library and have doors at the bottom.

First Floor: Master Bedroom with 5' wrought iron bedstead, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers and hanging facilities, polished wooden floors with rugs.

Double Bedroom: with 5' bed, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers and hanging facilities, polished wooden floors with rugs.

Twin Bedroom: with two 3' beds, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers and hanging facilities, polished wooden floors with rugs. Please note that access to the bathroom and shower room on the first floor from this twin bedroom is either through the double bedroom or down the stairs and up the second set of stairs. This is a result of combining two cottages.

Bathroom: freestanding claw foot bath, WC and handbasin, polished wooden floors with rug.

Shower Room: shower cubicle, WC and handbasin, polished wooden floors with rug.

Please note that some guests may find the staircases quite steep so care should be taken with children and this cottage may be unsuitable for people with mobility issues.

Outside: Parking for one car is available behind the cottage at the back of the garden with additional on road parking can usually be found nearby.

The garden has been recently redesigned by Laura Arison, a gold medal winner at the 2016 Hampton Court Flower Show and has interesting planting and paths through to sitting areas and stylish garden sheds which are ideal for sitting or painting or general relaxation!

The area:

The village has a good newsagent with grocery section, there is a cafe, a fish and chip shop and Chinese takeaway, together with two pubs serving the local Adnams Ales and Spirits. The beautiful Heritage Coast is just a five-ten minute drive away, making this the perfect cottage to explore the surrounding coast and countryside.

There is WiFi at the cottage.

Egyptian cotton bed linen, towels and energy costs are all included. Beach towels are not provided.

The cottage is centrally heated with a wood burner for which one small basket of logs will be provided on arrival during winter months (November-March). Further supplies can be found in the village.

We've had a wonderful week with lovely weather. Thank you for this lovely cottage and beautiful garden. Highlights for us- eating breakfast in the garden, the books, Covehithe and Dunwich beaches- skate and chips, discovering more of Southwold and relaxing.

Val and P,

Thank you for the use of your delightful cottage- we were all particularly appreciative of all your generous extra touches. A particular highlight was walking to Cove Hithe beach. Very many thanks.

Sylvia and Family,

A really beautiful cottage and garden! Perfect location for visiting Suffolk Coast (we particularly loved Covehithe). Lots to do and lovely base (even when raining). We hope to return at some point as there is lots more to see. P.s. Fantastic pillows!

Previous Customer,

Just got back to reality from a wonderful long weekend at your beautiful cottage in Wrentham. The weather was fantastic and we all loved staying there. Thanks for sharing your special place with us- it was so homely, and welcoming and filled with interest and beauty, the books, the photos, the furnishings and the displays. Also the practical side- a well stocked kitchen, much appreciated. And the garden- heavenly! Parking was a little bit challenging. We all feel refreshed and invigorated and we want to return! We feel we have only done a fraction of what could be done in the area. Thank you again.

Mrs B,

Our second stay at your lovely lovely cottage. It did not disappoint. This is a great base to explore this section of the Suffolk Coast without the hordes of tourists in Southwold. We love to read and the room on the back of the kitchen is a lovely morning spot. Such a pretty garden and so very fragrant. We have had a relaxing week and lots of good walks. Thank you.
