Sol Y Sombra, translated as 'Sun and Shade', I a delightful Southwold beach hut located a few steps down from East Cliff with all essential seaside attractions close by such as The Pier and The Boating Lake. Sol Y Sombra is just a few paces away from the popular Suzie's Cafe and also within close walking distance of The Lord Nelson. Beach huts are the perfect accessory for a British seaside holiday whether it’s with family or friends. You'll find all self-catering necessities in the hut such as a gas stove, table and chairs, crockery and cutlery so relax with your loved ones and have great fun on the beach. This beach hut is available for weekly bookings throughout the summer and shorter stays between late October and March.
(Please be aware as beach huts do not have postcodes the map view above may be inaccurate. If you have a specific query on the location of our beach huts please give our team a call).
Southwold combines chic and old world charm and is famous for its beach huts, which the many paintings and photographs of the town reflect. An essential part of the British seaside holiday, there are around 300 candy coloured beach huts overlooking the beach and stretching from the Pier to Gun Hill. You can't stay overnight in them but with the sense of nostalgia they generate, they don't come cheap - some sell for up to £170,000!
