This timber-framed building situated in a rural setting of fields is ideal for a holiday for two guests. All on one level, the cabin is situated within the owner's grounds and provides accommodation for those who are looking for a quiet setting yet only 7 miles from Southwold with its lighthouse, pretty beach and iconic pier.

Enter the property and be wowed by the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. It’s a lovely space with dual-aspect windows, exposed wooden beams and a vaulted ceiling. There’s a sofa and armchair around the TV and behind this a dining table for two guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for a pleasant self-catering stay. Move through to the double bedroom which has plenty of light thanks to further dual-aspect windows, and the shower room with a walk-in shower means you’ll be fully refreshed each day. The wraparound garden area has a beautiful lawn and garden furniture for dining alfresco.

The village of Henstead provides easy access to the Suffolk Heritage Coast. The village has two pubs and is within a short drive from the market town of Beccles (6 miles). Other close attractions are Southwold (7 miles), Oulton Broad (7 miles) and Covehithe (4 miles). The fine city of Norwich with its cathedral and castle is only 26.5 miles away. There are many good pubs, restaurants, shops, lovely walks, bird watching at RSPB Minsmere, fishing, boat hire and trips, all but a short drive away. This lodge is an ideal base to discover and explore this beautiful area.

The Meadow Cabin is probably the best self catered place we have used in our many UK holidays. The equipment, utensils etc covered all requirements. The owner is a very friendly gentleman and easy to talk with. This holiday cabin is definitely a place to return to.

Although not disabled ourselves, this neat, purpose-built property has been designed to accommodate those with mobility problems, whilst remaining exceedingly comfortable and warm. The flowers, biscuits and milk provided are a very welcoming touch.

Meadow Cabin was more than we hoped for. The high standard of decor, cleanliness and comfort is always something we want on holiday. The location was superb. The setting of the property was very nice and would be perfect if it was possible to have a view out over the surrounding countryside. The location of the property is very good for visiting the surrounding area with many fine places to visit within 30 to 40 mins of driving and great coastal locations within 15 to 20 mins. The Cabin is very nicely located in an attractive, quiet rural location, secluded from the owners home. Local places of interest are readily accessible by car.
