Completing the ground floor is the kitchen, which is decorated in delicate pastel shades and has a cute breakfast bar, and a utility room. The garden occupies 0.5 acres and is a real haven of tranquillity, with pretty flowers, a large lawn, and a sunny patio with outdoor furniture.

After a potter around its pretty streets, wander down to the River Waveney for a peaceful waterside stroll. A short 13-mile journey east brings you to the breath-taking Suffolk coast. Enjoy long walks along its dramatic coast path, or spend a fun afternoon at one of the traditional seaside resorts, such as Southwold, which is just 13 miles away or Walberswick, which is also only 13 miles away.

We had a lovely relaxing peaceful stay at Walnut Cottage. The property has been very sensitively restored and was very comfortable. Owners were very friendly and welcoming. Our 2 dogs enjoyed the walks directly from the house, which can also take you to the local pub. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage for a peaceful holiday.

Walnut Cottage is such a lovely cottage and the perfect place to unwind, relax and recharge. On arrival the cottage beckoned us with its warm welcome and we felt immediately relaxed and at home. A very tasty home baked lemon drizzle cake and welcome note was waiting for us along with everything we needed to make a much needed cup of tea and coffeeRead more after our long journey. The cottage is light and spacious whilst retaining the authentic feel of a country cottage. We loved the well equipped kitchen which leads into the entrance area providing plenty of space for coats and boots. This, in turn, leads into a well equipped utility room with downstairs loo. It was lovely to have a spacious dining room with a large table and chairs. The sitting room area is equally spacious and the furniture very comfortable and stylish. The large garden is beautiful and the outdoor seating area is perfect for relaxing and listening to the wonderful birdsong. There is so much attention to detail in the cottage and clear that the needs of the guests have been carefully considered. The downstairs is spacious with plenty of room for dog beds and crates whilst still leaving plenty of room for the humans! Upstairs is equally as comfortable, spacious and beautifully equipped. The location is very rural with some really great walks from the cottage but with plenty of interesting places to visit just a short drive away, including the coast. We found Walnut Cottage to be the perfect place for two and four legged guests and plan to come back for a visit, in fact, we didn't really want to go home we loved it so much! It was also a pleasure to meet the lovely owners, who delivered us some fresh eggs from the farm. Hide

Walnut Cottage really is the most tranquil and idyllic cottage you could stay in. We dont go back to places already stayed at as we like to explore new places to visit, however, for the first time, we will definitely be booking another stay here.
