Entertain family and friends at this charming country property in the lush greenery of the Suffolk countryside. This chocolate-box cottage is a colourful home-from-home experience with generous social spaces and a gorgeous outside area where you can make quality memories with your loved ones.

Step into this exquisite property, drop your bags down and head into the ground floor lounge. The hub of the home, the living room, has a pride-of-place wood burner for chillier evenings and a Smart TV for those cosy nights in with films. Take a quiet moment to yourself in the delightful sunroom with a book and glass of crisp white wine before starting dinner in the kitchen/diner. Invite the outdoors by throwing open the connecting bi-fold doors while you whip up a celebratory meal. When tummies are full, and drinks have been had, freshen up in the large walk-in shower room before heading up the narrow staircase to the king-size or super-king-size bedroom. Both with en-suite shower rooms, and one with a washing machine and tumble dryer, there are plenty of facilities to keep everyone happy. The enclosed landscaped garden is ideal for those morning caffeine hits and an idyllic backdrop to making your day's plans.

The Pightle is so well located for exploring the surrounding areas.  Spend leisurely mornings strolling around the pretty village of Parham. Visit Parham Airfield Museum. For more history, head over to the market town of Framlingham to take pictures of the exceptionally-pretty 12th-century castle or try their 800-year-old wall walk with stunning views over the town. Local attractions include Easton Farm Park (4 miles), Rendlesham Forest (10 miles), Aldeburgh and the Suffolk Heritage Coast (11 miles). The lively town of Woodbridge is only a 15 minute drive and offers a plentiful choice of restaurants and pubs. From the property, it’s also easy to visit Snape Maltings (7.5 miles). Here, you can potter amongst the high-end boutiques and galleries, and maybe even enjoy a concert or boat ride along the river. Lose yourself in over 220 acres of quiet woodland and wild flower meadows in the Woodland Trust in Great Glemham. There is a wealth of medieval churches in Suffolk, amazing tombs in Framlingham and Dennington to name but two, or the stunning church at Ufford. Visit the stunning Helmingham Hall gardens or the lost city of Dunwich and the crumbling coastline. For keen birdwatchers , Minsmere, the RSPB showpiece is also close by.

The coldest week of the year so far, all over the country apparently. but the cottage was warm and cosy. We loved the variety of places to sit. Well equipped kitchen, clean and easy to use. We would love to return!

Very comfortable stay, the cottage was spotlessly clean and cosy, great location for visiting family in Suffolk. It would have been helpful to have some basic condiments in the kitchen like oil, butter, slar and pepper etc for cooking as these aren't things t you would bring with you for a few nights away Otherwise very good.
