Aldeburgh is situated at the heart of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The river Alde, popular with sailors, winds its way to Orford downstream and up-stream to Snape Maltings, home of the internationally famous Aldeburgh Music Festival. Thorpeness, just a couple of miles north along the beach, has its own special seaside character. In Aldeburgh fishermen still, pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from their picturesque huts. The high street has mostly independent shops mixed in with a nice variety of eating places. There are also several good hotels overlooking the sea, ideal for a leisurely lunch or evening meal. Opposite our Aldeburgh office is an interesting old and very well equipped cinema which shows the latest films and occasional festivals e.g. the highly regarded annual Aldeburgh Documentary Film Festival. There is always plenty to do in Aldeburgh while a radius of 10 miles inland will bring you to the fabulous natural riches of the East Anglian countryside and coastal area - and plenty of excellent pubs.

Apartment was lovely and situated in an ideal position.
It's an architectural/design gem.
I have no hesitation in stating that all aspects of our holiday in and around Aldeburgh were top class with the 'Sun Deck' meeting every single requirement for a rental property, in fact we would say that of the many self catering properties we have used throughout the U.K. this was the best and we have stayed in some very good properties over many years.
