Capel St Andrew is a small village approximately seven miles from the shingle beach at Aldeburgh. Nearby Rendlesham Forest, which covers over 3000 acres and consists of large areas of coniferous plantations as well as heathland and wetland areas, various picnic sites, waymarked walks and cycle trails. The Forest Centre also offers children's orienteering courses and cycle hire. Other places to visit include the nature reserves at Orford Ness and Havergate Island, Otley Hall and Orford Castle.
