The village of Henstead provides easy access to the Suffolk Heritage Coast, The village has a thatched church and is within an short drive of Beccles, Southwold, Oulton Broad, Walberswick, Dunwich, Kessingland & Framlingham Castle. There are many good pubs, restaurants, shops, lovely walks, bird watching at Minsmere, fishing, boat hire and trips, and museums all but a short drive away. An ideal base to discover and explore this beautiful area.

It is set amid fields just inside the village. It is a place to slow down, relax and enjoy the simple things of life. It has a long and interesting history and features on county maps of 1640. The Barracks is a Grade 2 listed building replete with authentic oak beams and inglenook fireplaces. |
